Nor’eastah Slams Sugarloaf

Maine ski area receives five-plus feet in 10-day storm cycle, making for All Time conditions

Filmer Taylor Walker still can’t get over how light and deep it was. Over a 10-day period, starting in early to mid-February, five feet of snow fell in the Northeast—specifically, Sugarloaf, Maine. But on the morning of February 13, Walker and his crew woke to 25 new inches of some of the lightest and driest snow they’ve ever skied.
