Schweitzer Stomp Games and Grom Stomp Return with New Event
Terrain Park Competition takes place March 14th and March 19th-21st

Sandpoint- Schweitzers Stomp Games is back with a new event and Schweitzer’s Grom Stomp, open to riders under 12, is making a return after a successful premiere year.

“Grom Stomp was a so much fun last year,” said Events and Activities Director Mary Weber-Quinn. “This is a unique event that really showcases these young riders’ talents. Oakley and Armada have been very generous with their support of this event.”

Grom Stomp takes place Sunday, March 14th and includes a Slopestyle and Rider X competition. Groms can register for either or both and the event will close with awards for division winners. The “top grom” skier and snowboarder will be awarded a new snowboard or skis and an invitation to participate in the Stomp Games.

Stomp Games will take place the following weekend, March 19th-21st. Rider-X and Slopestyle disciplines take place Saturday and Sunday, with a new event happening Friday night: The Schweitzer Big Boot Stomp Session (BBSS). The BBSS is a jam format competition on a single feature with 2 options… Riders will be judged on their single best trick off either the kicker or the cannon box. Awards will conclude each day in the village with over $5000 in Smith Optics products disbursed amongst the winners and $8600 cash throughout the Pro Divisions.

All competitors in both Grom Stomp and Stomp Games must have a lift ticket, helmet and a signed release form if under 18. Space is limited and registration for Stomp Games closes March 19th at 5PM. On site registration will be available if space permits on Friday afternoon from 3-5PM and Saturday and Sunday morning from 7-9AM.
