It might still only be October, but on Saturday, October 20, some of the Silverton Mountain Guides in Seward, Alaska, found themselves skiing conditions that looked a lot more like late winter than mid fall.

A series of storms left the mountains near Seward covered in up to 12 feet of snow. Local guides with Silverton Mountain Guides Alaska Heli did not delay starting up the helicopters and promptly kicked off their 2018-19 season with face shots that have us all jealous.

Lucky for them, more snow is in the forecast, which hopefully means the same for the lower 48. Until then, we’ll be here watching their highlight reel and dreaming of our own powder days.
