Winter has arrived in the Canadian Rockies, with resorts like Lake Louise and Sunshine Village receiving a hefty amount of snowfall for the first few days of October.
Banff's Sunshine Village in Alberta has reported over 17 inches in the past 24 hours and nearby Lake Louise saw around 10 inches. Nakiska Ski Resort near Calgary got slammed with over 20 inches of the good stuff.
Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, Marmot Basin, and Whistler Blackcomb have also received a dusting of snow within the past day.
Nakiska is projected to open in exactly one month, with Lake Louise and Sunshine Village also opening during the first week of November before the annual FIS World Cup commences November 24.
