Winter isn't over yet Down Under, as parts of New Zealand’s South Island have received upwards of 2 feet of snow since Monday.

The Remarkables, located in Queenstown, saw over 21 inches of snow in 48 hours. Northern Cardrona Alpine Resort has received over 22 inches in the past seven days, while Wanaka's Treble Cone has reported over 24 inches since Monday.

All three resorts are slated to close in late September or early October, but might have enough snow to hold on a little longer. Needless to say, it might be worthwhile to book a last minute flight and burn those vacations days early this year.
