Early Season Pow With The Kids Of Little Cottonwood

Words: Andrew Pollard

Livin' Local is a new webisode series created by Leo Ahrens and Sam Cohen, two teenage Alta/Snowbird locals living the high life, skiing fluffy Wasatch snow all season long. The series documents the ski season of Leo, Sam, and their local friends such as Grant and Neil Howard, Andrew Pollard, Johnny Collinson and many others.

Despite our age, the history of this group runs as deep as the Utah snow we all love to ski. All of our parents are Alta ski bums who had us skiing at a very young age. We all had a natural talent and love for the sport. As we got older our parents put us into the Alta Youth Club. We'd ski every Saturday, developing our skiing abilities and friendships alike.

We all stuck with the sport and eventually shifted towards the world of Freeskiing which we have been pursuing ever since, winning comps, getting photos, and skiing as much powder as possible.

This season we will be filming daily and giving the viewer a sense of the dream we get to live. We push each other to go bigger and ski faster and we're driven to have as much fun and ski as hard as we can.
