CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 28, 2018) – After three weeks of judging, POWDER announced the nominees for the 19th Annual Powder Awards, recognizing the best in ski cinematography, athletic achievement, and photography. The Powder Awards returns to Breckenridge, Colorado, during Winter Dew Tour.

As the longest-running awards show in skiing, the Powder Awards commences on the evening of December 13, 2018, at the Riverwalk Center just off Breck's Main Street. Tickets for the all-ages show are on sale now for $12 at PowderAwards.com, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the official Powder Awards non-profit partner, High Fives Foundation. The safety net of the outdoor action sports community, High Fives raises injury prevention awareness while providing resources and inspiration to those who suffer life-altering injuries.

A judging panel consisting of photographers, filmmakers, journalists, industry veterans, and former professional skiers reviewed 50-plus entries in 12 categories—including Movie of the Year, Best Female Performance, Best Line, and Best Air among others—to determine nominees and winners. The event also showcases readers’ favorite skiers with the annual Powder Poll, recognizing the sport’s top three women and three men.

One of the biggest nights of the season, the Powder Awards brings its rich 19-year history to honor those that continue to dedicate their season to capturing and evolving the sport and culture of skiing.
