The judges at the Powder Awards determine Best Jib based on a skier’s creativity, style, and interaction with features, often in an urban environment. The winners send it huge, and they take lines of consequence that are extremely technical and difficult to achieve. This year’s winner, JF Houle, received the award for his performance in Canvas by Blank Collective.

“To get the award, I have no words,” Houle said on stage at the 17th annual Powder Awards. “I feel like sometimes I don’t ski so much—it’s just being behind a wench. [This award] means a lot for me and my future.”
