Alpine Meadows Presents 2nd Annual Take the Lake Triple Jump Line Competition March 18 – 20

From Alpine Meadows — Lake Tahoe, CA – Alpine Meadows Ski Resort has sounded the competition alarm by announcing the Take the lake Triple Jump Line Competition, set for Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20. Take the Lake hosts some of the country's top amateur and pro-am skiers and snowboarders – and this year's competitors can expect a triple jump line judged by some of the industry's most sought-after judges. A $15,000 purse is on the line; and the top finishers of both the ski and snowboard divisions will walk with the winnings. With event partners including Remax, and Microsoft Licensing GP, Take the Lake offers the largest freestyle prize purse at Lake Tahoe.

Rail jam open to all
In addition to this marquee competition, Take the Lake competitors, spectators, and party goers will have a chance to throw down their best tricks in the new TTL Rail Jam, open to anyone. Starting at 4pm Saturday, March 19, this on-snow rail jam invites skiers and riders to show off their style – right in front of the Alpine Meadows base lodge. Rail Jam entry fee is just $5 and prizes include swag as well as cold hard cash.

DJ Coop Da Loop spins at rail jam
Spinning at the TTL Rail Jam Saturday night, DJ Coop Da Loop brings massive bass to Alpine, and combines an eclectic mix of downtempo, world, house, and reggae to keep partiers on their feet. As one of the most loved DJs to rise out of the Reno music scene, DJ Coup Da Loop is not to be missed.

"The caliber of the competitor field demands perfect features," said David. "The competition's triple jump line highlights Alpine's jump line and there's definitely a select group of athletes who know how to execute perfect airs in order to capture the win," he added. Among the judging panel include Dew Tour and Winter X Game veteran judges as well as former X Games competitors.
