PRESS RELEASE: Mountain Dew® and TEN: The Enthusiast Network announce the initial schedule for the annual winter Dew Tour ski and snowboard competition and festival to be held in Breckenridge, Colo. December 13-16, 2018.

After last year’s Dew Tour serving as an Olympic Qualifying event, fans and athletes will see the upcoming event creatively showcase its unique and progressive competitions, including the Modified Superpipe, Streetstyle, and Team Challenge events.

The 2018 winter Dew Tour will host individual men's and women's Modified Superpipe and Slopestyle snowboarding and skiing competitions, its signature Team Challenge and Streetstyle events, and men's and women's snowboard adaptive banked slalom events. In addition to all the competitions featuring the world's best skiers and riders, the event will include an entire calendar of fan-based activities, both on the mountain and within the town of Breckenridge. The Dew Tour is free and open to the public.

This year's pipe is strategically modified, offering a variety of freestyle elements built above and below the actual pipe, creating a longer (by approximately 150-feet), more technical Superpipe event for the athletes. The Team Challenge features the industry's top brands, legend captains, and a team of athletes competing in Jib, Jumps and Modified Superpipe. Combined athlete scores will determine a team winner.

This year's Dew Tour starts on Thursday, December 13 with Women's Ski Slopestyle finals, Men's and Women's snowboard adaptive finals, and the ski Team Challenge. Thursday at Dew Tour concludes with the 19th annual POWDER Awards to be held at the Riverwalk Theatre that evening.

Friday, December 14 will have the Women's Ski Modified Superpipe finals, Women's Snowboard Slopestyle finals and the Snowboard Team Challenge. Friday evening includes a Dew Tour signature event: Streetstyle, which features a ski and snowboard rail jam session held in downtown Breckenridge. The evening will wrap up with the TRANSWORLD SNOWBOARDING 20th annual Riders Poll Awards at the Riverwalk Theatre.

On Saturday, December 15, the excitement continues with Men's Snowboard Modified Superpipe finals and Men's Ski Slopestyle finals. In the heart of downtown Breckenridge, the Streetstyle course will be active with a new event: the G.W.R. Girls Amateur ski and snowboard competition, presented by Nikita. Dew Tour's tradition of incorporating music, art and culture into its events will be showcased Saturday evening with a concert at the Riverwalk Theatre.

The final day of competition will keep the activities and events pumping on Sunday, December 16, with Men's Ski and Women's Snowboard Modified Superpipe finals, along with the Men's Snowboard Slopestyle finals.

From Thursday through Sunday, the Peak 8 base area will host the Dew Tour Experience, including a myriad of activities, athlete autograph signings and free giveaways featuring Mountain Dew and other Dew Tour partners. In downtown Breckenridge, the Dew Tour Festival continues from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Friday – Sunday at Blue River Plaza and Riverwalk Lawn, with aprѐs festivities, partner exhibits and live music.
