Colorado-based Zeal Optics' newest technology—called the Portal/RLS—features their new quick change frames that will make you second guess the worthiness of any other lens swap system.
The Zeal Portal//RLS (short for Rail Lock System) lets you swap out lenses in a few seconds, thanks to two small knobs on either side of the lens that line up with a rail on either edge of the goggle frame. Lenses slide into the frame by way of the rails, which also prevent the lens from popping off should you scorpion off that next kicker. Zeal's first frameless design is also available with photochromic or polarized lenses if you're willing to fork over a bit more dough, and has a full feature set you'd expect from any goggle worth investing in (like extra-cushy face foam, helmet-compatible, dual lens construction, etc).
What stands out the most though, is how simple and effective the Portal system allows you to swap lenses on the fly. Because, you know, seeing while you’re skiing is pretty important.
