WORDS: Drew Petersen
After a fickle winter that left many Whistler powder snobs sitting inside, this spring has provided a refreshing change of luck and pace. Martin Lentz was there to take advantage of not only the new snow, but also the plentiful bare patches of rock and dirt left over from the disappointing winter. The recent qualifier for next year’s Freeride World Tour shows off with large airs, hard-charging skiing, and fun 360s. As for his antics on the rock and dirt, well they may make P-Tex bases cringe. Then again, it’s fair to count his last rock-ride as a free stone grind that even the tuning shop couldn’t outperform.
