Winter storms walloped the east coast this weekend, dropping nearly 28 inches of snow in New York City over the weekend—the second snowiest blizzard in the Big Apple’s history, according to the National Weather Service. New Yorkers were told to stay off the streets, stay out of their cars, and to say indoors… but I’d bet no one expected to tell those city dwellers to stay off their skis. Despite curfews prohibiting citizens from driving through the city that never sleeps, a few rowdy city folk put chains on their tires, skis on their feet, and hit the open road before a brief run-in with the law. Oh and their tow? A couple of roped-together extension chords and HDMI cables. That’s one way to make do when the power goes out and the powder is ON.
