Skiers Shred 100-Inch Storm in Utah

While Little Cottonwood Canyon is closed and Interlodged, 100-plus inches fell in 10 days for All Time conditions

It’s no secret the start to the 2017 winter is one for the record books, with storms hammering the Sierra, Cascades, and Rockies.

With Mammoth reporting the deepest January ever and Tahoe not too far behind, Utah joined the all-time conditions team, with 100-plus inches in 10 days from January 2-13.

Salt Lake City local and filmer Tim Jones got out with Sam Cohen, Hayden Price, and others to shoot the storm at Alta before the clouds parted and idyllic powder turns came into focus. Currently snowing and more in the forecast, Utah looks to serve up even more dreamy powder turns.
