CO Kid Rips Crested Butte’s North Face

Ninety-nine problems and a...what?

On the day Drew Petersen and crew arrived in Crested Butte last week, eight inches had fallen overnight. Conditions were great, so he clicked on his camera and went soul shredding. Petersen grew up in Silverthorne, Colorado, and skied CB a fair amount when he was younger. “The steep slopes of The North Face are where I learned to hit cliffs and first competed in big mountain skiing,” he said. “It was good to be back.”

Editor’s note: Drew Petersen is a former POWDER intern who, we hope, learned many skills and life lessons during his time at the magazine. However, it appears we were unsuccessful in influencing his musical taste. His song choice in this edit is deeply regrettable. If you or someone you know has better taste in music and is interested in applying for a summer internship at POWDER, we are currently accepting applications.
