Behind the Scenes of Afterglow

Sweetgrass Productions on their method and the madness

By now you’ve surely seen the seminal night skiing film by Sweetgrass Productions, Afterglow. A ski film shot at night with neon hues of pink, purple, and blue splashed on a snowy mountain in British Columbia and Alaska, Afterglow, which won Best Short and Best Cinematography at the 15th Annual Powder Awards, takes viewers into a fantasy land of sorts. Sweetgrass takes us behind the camera in this edit, speaking to their “masochistic” process and their love for hard work in difficult places.
