An Afternoon at the Bird

Utah skier gets sendy after spring storm

Winter was good to Snowbird this year, dropping more than 400 inches of snow on the Utah mountain, but the blessing of a mega Magic March allowed the Bird to keep flying until May 30 this season. The Freeski X-Treme released this edit of SLC skier Jonnie Merrill who turned on the camera and pointed it after a mid-month storm delivered 17 inches of deep, white goodness. Merrill keeps it tight through the trees and drops into more pillows than you’ve laid your head on all winter. There’s a reason skiers live in Utah, despite all that 3.2 beer.
