InterviewING: by Mike Rogge
Ski Mountaineer Greg Hill, known for climbing and skiing two million vertical feet in 2010, just switched sponsors from Dynafit, to Salomon. Read more about it here.
The last movie I watched was Madagascar 3. It’s classic child entertainment, not much to recommend really.
I’m reading “Bones of the Hills” by Conn Iggulden. It’s a historical fiction about Ghengis Khan. I mostly read books, a wide variety of them, nothing too philosophical or in depth, just well written entertainment.
I have been doing a lot of cross-country mountain biking and rock climbing. Biking has recently become a passion—the high aerobics mixed with high intensity makes it pretty amazing. Rock climbing has been a dormant passion for 12 years and I am recently back at it and loving it. All these activities are done close to home in Revelstoke.
Honestly, I visit CBC for Canadian News, Facebook, and Hotmail and that’s all. Plus, weather channels to stay up to date with the storm patterns.
EatING and DrinkING
We always try to eat as locally as possible. We’re not really strict with it—the blueberries we just ate were from Chile. Every Saturday we buy food at our outdoor market, supporting local farmers, and artisans. I love eating and cooking great foods so we eat a wide variety of foods, except mushrooms.
I went to a wedding party for some friends who tied the knot. It was in a friend’s backyard—the typical boozing, smoking and laughing. I am 36 with two kids so not a lot of partying happening these days.
I am not a musically inclined person; I enjoy it but have no favorites and could go hours/days without ever putting any music on.
I am not a big Twitter follower. Life is so busy that I don’t need to add anything else to it.
