Chillin’ in Chile with Bomb Snow
In honor of the Southern Hemisphere getting painted this week (most of Australia got two feet, while Portillo finally got the goods), Bomb Snow TV posted a South American vision quest on the Internet that makes me want to set up an email alert and call in sick for the next two months. Thanks, guys.

SBC Skier closes up shop
This isn’t a fun one to report. SBC Media, the publishing company that owns the source for everything skiing in Canada, SBC Skier, has filed for bankruptcy and is ceasing production effective immediately. Silverton vying for more heli terrain
The double-chair-centric Colorado mountain has branched into heli skiing over the years, and is working with federal officials to shift its reach into 150,000 acres of new terrain adjacent to the area’s base. According to the BLM, Silverton will not gain more heli access, they will simply be moving to new terrain. The public has until July 17 to let their opinions be heard until the agency makes its decision.

But seriously, is it Japanuary yet?
Hipmunk reported an inordinate spike in Asia sales shortly after the release of this edit from Rusutsu on Japan’s north island.
