Storms are rolling in over Colorado’s San Juan Mountains week after week this winter—this week dropping 46″ of new snow at Wolf Creek. The four-day storm brought the snowfall total at the Pagosa Springs’ ski area to 163″. Storm skiing combined with two perfect bluebird breaks made for incredible conditions, as captured by local photographer Jason Lombard. Lombard, who is also the mountain’s snow safety director, said in 16 seasons working there, this may be the best, most consistent early season he’s seen. “I just hope it keeps up,” he said. Us too, Jason.
