Walls looking empty? Go to evo’s Seattle store this Friday. The remainder of the 40th anniversary gallery of iconic Powder covers including images of Bobby Burns, Glen Plake, Mike Hattrup and the Crist Brothers, and photography by Scott Markewitz, Lee Cohen, Dave Reddick, Eric Seo, Adam Clark, and Wade McKoy will be on display and available to buy. Hand selected by Dave Reddick and the family of Powder editors, they are archivally printed and mounted on masonite. They range in size from 9” wide to 48” wide and prices start at $125. All proceeds of sale of covers go to the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF) a winter sport non-profit based in Sun Valley.

The opening is in the gallery space at the new evo store in Seattle. Local brewery, Elysian Ale, will be poured at a minimal cost (benefitting the SVSEF also). Come to opening on Friday February 1st 6-9. The show will be up for the rest of February. So if you can’t come Friday, you can check it out all month.

The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation provides year-round ski and snowboard training and competition opportunities for over 500 athletes each year. With origins rooted in the Sun Valley Ski Club, the foundation was established as an integral part of the ski club in 1966; it was a way to provide racing opportunities for juniors. Since that time the SVSEF has helped numerous junior racers achieve dreams of Olympic medals, World Championship podiums, World Cup victories, and National Championship gold. More importantly, the SVSEF has helped an innumerable number of athletes become skiing aficionados for life. Not only are the alumni of the ski foundation some of the best skiers on any mountain, anywhere, they are “setting the bar high” in all facets of life including family, work and community.
