CRESTED BUTTE, Colorado (June 25th, 2010) – With the announcement of its 20th feature length movie, MSP Films is proud to present "The Way I See It." The film's world premiere is scheduled for September 18th, 2010 in Boulder, Colorado, at the world famous Boulder Theater. "The Way I See It" is a modern take on the extreme sports genre featuring state of the art high definition cinematography and joins the grand tradition of MSP's long line of award-winning films, including unprecedented six-time "movie of the year" honors. With the winter of 2010 providing record snowfalls and a roster featuring the best skiers in the world, this film leaves audiences inspired and excited for the coming season.
MSP filmed Bobby Brown's emergence as the single-most dominating park skier in the world, Sean Pettit's follow-up performance to his 2009 "male skier of the year" and "full throttle" awards, the epic powder skiing of northern Japan, and one of the most incredible trips ever to Alaska's Chugach Range. Each trip topped the last, including shooting two perfect days in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia with an HD Cineflex unit and culminating with a trip to Alyeska Resort and one of the largest park features ever built.
"I definitely had some all-time moments shooting for 'The Way I See It,'" said executive producer Steve Winter. "One that really stood out for me was the night of May 9th – we filmed for two hours on a jump at Alyeska with Bobby Brown, Gus Kenworthy, Russ Henshaw, and Richard Permin. It was a throw-down session like I have never seen before; Bobby did a few triple-flip variations and everyone stomped a ton of amazing tricks."
"The Way I See It" was shot on location in Alaska, Japan, British Columbia, Colorado, Switzerland, and many other locations worldwide in high-definition and features the most dominant cast of athletes ever compiled, including Mark Abma, Sean Pettit, Eric Hjorleifson, Henrik Windstedt, Bobby Brown, Colby West, James Heim, Richard Permin, Cody Townsend, Rory Bushfield, Ingrid Backstrom, Gus Kenworthy, Jacob Wester, Russ Henshaw, and others.
The MSP Movie Tour will visit over 200 locations around the world in 2010, featuring athlete appearances, poster signings, after parties, live entertainment, prize giveaways, and much more.
