The game Not My Job involves NPR’s Peter Sagal, a rising star, and a three-question multiple-choice quiz on a subject the rising star knows nothing about. So, Mikaela Shiffrin and downhill cheese racing. Last week, Shiffrin appeared on Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me in an episode called “It’s the cheese! After it!” to try her hand at Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling Races- based trivia.

Shiffrin did skiers proud. She answered all three questions right, winning two Denver residents a voicemail recording from NPR newscaster Carl Kasell. But we would have expected nothing less. This girl is a friggin’ winner.

What I loved most is how wonderfully witty and articulate she is. She gracefully jokes about life as a skier and Olympian with the comedians on the show who do a pretty good job at pointing out oddities and quirks of the sport. Toward the end, Sagal and Shiffrin joked about swapping jobs. I’m not sure how Sagal would fare, but I would certainly tune into a Shiffrin Radio Special. Think about it, NPR.
