I grew up skiing in backyards. From hitting skateboard quarterpipes at a friend’s house in middle school to setting one on fire and drinking Jameson straight from the bottle before dropping in during college, the backyard can be a skier’s best friend. When your residence isn’t close to the mountains it’s the only way to ski everyday. Perhaps no skier knows this do-it-yourself philosophy better than Andreas Håtveit. This last week he hosted skiers from around the world for his annual Backyard Battle. The fine folks at Ski Film were on hand to capture all of the action. Check out the five daily updates below.
