Whitefish Mountain Resort

From the resort guide

Whitefish

Resort Description

With varied terrain on all aspects it’s easy to find good snow every day of the season. Snow created by Pacific moisture, cooled and dried by Canadian air, falls consistently in these Rocky Mountains and sticks around due to the lack of crowds. Local skiers call it “magic snow” since four inches skis like twelve. Speaking of locals—they’re the happiest on the planet. It could be the snow, or the unparalleled views of Glacier National park, or the fact that they’ve settled down in a fun-loving town.

Terrain Breakdown

12 percent beginner; 40 percent intermediate; 48 percent advanced

The Bottom Line

There’s still a place where fresh powder lasts, locals make you feel at home, and your dollar goes further (like $1 beers). Welcome to Whitefish.
