The Fischer Curv 130 is a mid-volume, four-buckle alpine ski boot. Compared with the other boots in Fischer’s lineup, the Curv 130 is a middle-of-the-line frontside charger. Fischer also has a 140, 120, and 110 flexes in the Curv lineup as well as a 110 and 90 in a women’s fit.
The boot fit comfortably straight out of the box. Fit is more important than a boot’s looks, but it is hard to ignore the blacked-out plastic with red flame buckles. The Curv 130 reminded me of the badass, stiff boots of the late ’90s. Thankfully, they don’t ski that way, with a 130 flex that is more forgiving than the rock-hard boots of two decades ago. The Curv 130 is stiff enough to handle a variety of conditions without compromising comfort. —Mike Rogge
