Storm Dispatch—Killington, Vermont

The Special-Ops pow team, lead by photographer Justin Cash, gorges on the Super Cycle

I’ve been living and shooting in Vermont for over a decade now. I’ve seen megastorms come and go. Some are so big locals recall them by date, like the Valentine’s Day storm of ’07 or the St. Patty’s Day storm of ’08. The 2015 Super Cycle has risen above all others in recent memory. Storms keep stacking and temps have stayed cold, and we keep gorging ourselves on pow while the rest of the country has been left high and dry for the most part. We’ve been working our “secret” stashes around Killington like a Special Ops team, bobbing and weaving down lines that most will never find. Jealous? You should be. The East was due and it has delivered. —Justin Cash
