Storm Dispatch — Chamonix

The deep side of Chamonix. A photo gallery by Daniel Rönnbäck.

Daniel Rönnbäck is a ski photographer from Sweden. But he might as well be a professional storm chaser, too. As soon as the faucet slowed in Japan after a long January there with the Nimbus crew, Rönnbäck made a quick hop across an ocean and a continent and arrived in Chamonix, France, just in time for another hammering of snow. Three days with a daily 3,000 vertical meters of pow later, Rönnbäck pointed his lens at Chad Sayers and Chamonix locals Oli Harren and Arthus Ghilinus who chased the goods up trams and through the trees.
