Storm Dispatch: Revelstoke, BC

Storm day at Revelstoke through the lens of Bruno Long

With an incoming storm forecasting up to 50 centimeters (or roughly 20 inches, for you ‘Muricans) at Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia, SLC-local Carlo Travarelli showed up right on time. After showing Sean Cochrane and me his stomping grounds the past two seasons in Utah, we decided it was about time to return the favor. With an overnight storm of 35 centimeters, along with 15 more forecasted during the day, we knew that we were in for some true Revelstoke storm skiing. Constant precipitation, strong winds, and daytime warming had us struggling with poor choices of layering, cold chair rides, and wet camera gear. And yet, I don’t really remember too much complaining. —Bruno Long
