Gold Bridge, British Columbia (December 7, 2010) – TLH Heliskiing will open for the 2010/2011 winter heli-ski season this December 31st, 2010 with a New Year’s Eve party to celebrate. The TLH base lodge at Tyax Wilderness Resort has been closed for renovations since the fall of 2009, this will mark the re-opening of the lodge since the renovations began.
The New Years Eve and re-opening celebration will be complete with a gourmet 4 course meal served in the newly renovated and newly furnished dining room, followed by live music, dancing and a midnight champagne toast in the bar. After a night of celebrating, guests will retreat to their brand new lodge rooms to prepare for the following day’s activities. Heli-skiing guests will be the first of the season to get out and enjoy TLH’s 830,000 acre powder playground. Chef, Jonathan Carmel has prepared a gourmet, 4-course meal with a Canadian theme featuring Dungeness crab from BC waters, beef tenderloin from Alberta and a maple syrup accented dessert from Quebec.
