Biking, Hiking, Mountainboarding, Disc Golf, Paintball and Fishing Now Open
New Volleyball Court and Horseshoe Pit Built at Snowmass base village
Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., – Snowmass is officially open to guests seeking an adrenaline rush when the Burlingame lift opens on Wednesday, June 24 to activities such as biking, hiking, mountainboarding, disc golf, paintball and fishing.
A new volleyball court and horseshoe pit are free and open to the public and located at the bottom of the Village Express lift above the Snowmass base village.
Camp Aspen/Snowmass has been open to families since June 1 and additional camp information can be found in this release.
SCENIC CHAIRLIFT RIDES: Ride the Burlingame lift and enjoy breathtaking views of Snowmass and the surrounding valley.
Wednesday through Sunday: June 24 – September 7
Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last ride down 4:15 p.m.)
Pricing: Adult (ages 18-69) – $10; Youth (ages 13-17) – $6; Child (ages 7-12) – $6; Senior (ages 70+) – $6; Child 6 & under – FREE
MOUNTAIN BIKING/HIKING/MOUNTAINBOARDING: Miles of trails, from gentle roads to challenging singletrack, await novice to expert riders and hikers. Snowmass welcomes mountain bikes and mountainboards. The Burlingame lift will take you and your equipment up the mountain where you can discover trails of every level. Mountain biking and mountainboarding lessons are available for ages 6 through adult at Camp Aspen/Snowmass, located at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall. Mountain bikes and mountainboards are available to rent at Four-Mountain Sports/D&E.
ACES GUIDED NATURE HIKES AND WALKS: A naturalist from the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies will guide you on a beautiful hike with fantastic views of Snowmass Village and surrounding areas. Offered daily at 10 a.m. (nature walk) and 1 p.m. (nature hike or walk, depending on group interest). Meet at the Information Desk in the Snowmass Ticket Pavilion. FREE!
DISC GOLF: Snowmass is the only resort to boast two 18-hole courses – try your hand at this unique sport and play all 36 holes! Golf discs are available for rent at Four-Mountain Sports on the Snowmass Village Mall.
RUN & GUN PAINTBALL: Join us for a wild game of paintball. We offer an outdoor course and lots of games from which to choose. $49/person includes all equipment and one round of paint (200 balls). Additional rounds of paint (100 balls) are $7. Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more. Sorry, children under age 8 are not permitted. Open daily. FAMILY TROUT FISHING: Experience the thrill of landing a Rocky Mountain rainbow trout from one of our secret on-mountain ponds. Offered daily at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The cost for a private guided trip is $219 (for up to 4 people, adults and kids) and includes transportation, equipment, snacks and drinks. It’s $34/additional person with a group size limit of 6. Children under 4 are not permitted. Reservations are required.
SUMMER OF FREE MUSIC SERIES: Bring a blanket and picnic to Fanny Hill on Thursdays at 6 p.m. and enjoy FREE concerts from reggae to rock to R&B. Kids can enjoy the interactive Family Fun Zone. Camp Aspen/Snowmass, based out of the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center in Snowmass, provides a fun, dynamic environment with daily and weekly programs available for ages 2 through teens. MOUNTAINBOARDING, MOUNTAIN BIKING AND SKATEBOARDING: Available for children and adults, all ages and abilities welcome. These private lessons give you the opportunity to learn a new sport or brush up on your skills. Let our trained professionals show you the way. ADVENTURE SERIES: Ages 8 to teens can create their own exciting adventures. They’ll have a great time combining activities such as paintball, mountainboarding, skateboarding, mountain biking, hiking and overnight trips.
JUNIOR BASE & BASE CAMPS: Kids ages 3 to 10 participate in a variety of activities including crafts, drama and sports. Field trips include swimming, hiking, gondola rides on Aspen Mountain and more.
ULTIMATE BASE CAMP: Kids ages 6 to 10 participate in mountainboarding, skateboarding, horseback riding, rafting and rocket building. The day includes one of the aforementioned activities, along with other popular Base Camp activities.

Snowmass Sky Cab: The Sky cab gondola will be open everyday from June 17 – September 7 from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. This is a free gondola transporting guests to and from the base village and the Snowmass Village Mall.
