Oskar Enander opens permanent gallery at Ski Lodge Engelberg
Ski Photographer Oskar Enander opens a permanent exhibition with more than one hundred prints at Ski Lodge Engelberg, Switzerland. The exhibition features Oskar’s very best shots from all over the world; from Kamchatcka, to Alaska but also the very best from his home mountain in Engelberg.
The grand opening is 5 December, and the exhibition runs throughout the hotel – the rooms have even been designed to match with the ski photos. – We started discussing this two years ago, and finally we open. I think people will sleep even better now with some face shots on their hotel room walls, says Oskar. Powder face shots, that is.
I want to go skiing every time I see Oskar’s pictures, says Niklas Moller, one of the founders of the lodge, and we hope our guests are going to feel the same way. The pictures are pure inspiration for me.
Oskar Enander has worked as a Ski Photographer over the past decade, and has the whole world as his office. He is a two time Powder Magazine Photo of the Year winner and appears regularly in major ski media all over the world. He is based in Engelberg, Switzerland.
Ski Lodge Engelberg is a true skier’s hotel located in Engelberg, Switzerland. After traveling the world searching for powder spots and doing competitions, the owners settled down in Engelberg to create the ultimate mountain hotel. That means nice props like free powder test skis, gourmet restaurant, and individually designed rooms – and of course, walls clad with some of the best ski photography in the world.
Engelberg is one of the most talked about powder destinations in Europe. With 6600 feet of vertical, the resort has one of the largest vertical drops in the world and is known for its massive snowfalls.
