G3-Skins-Backcountry-Contest

Press Release

Vancouver, British Columbia (January 20, 2014) – G3 Genuine Guide Gear skins are most at home climbing skin tracks, bagging peaks, and navigating up glaciers, but every so often they serve other purposes. Maybe you’ve been there, using G3’s High Traction Skins to help your car get going on a slick road or using leftover trimmings from a pair of G3 Elle skins to spice up a mundane après outfit? Well, at G3 we not only embrace this unique skin use, but want to know everything about it, with this winter’s #G3ShowSkin contest.

“There’s a reason you see G3 skins everywhere you go in the backcountry. From grip to glide, weather proofing to tip and tail attachments, they’re by far the most reliable skins out there. We’ve seen the wild places G3 skins can take people, but this contest definitely kicks things up a notch,” says Gord Bailey, VP of Sales and Marketing for G3. “Last year’s entries were incredibly creative, so I am excited to see what we get this year.”

From now until February 28, participants are encouraged to submit creative skin stories via Twitter, Facebook, Twitvid, or Instragram using the hash-tag #G3ShowSkin to enter to win G3 gear and swag. Entries should highlight G3 skins being put to good use. Think outside of the boundary. Creativity, ingenuity, and plenty of effort are encouraged.

Entries that catch the judges’ eyes will win a variety of gear, ranging from weekly prizes to the grand prize of a full gear set up worth $1500.

Grand Prize Includes:
(If Skier Wins) G3 District 112 skis, G3 High Traction Skins, and G3 ONYX bindings.

(If Snowboarder Wins) G3 Black Sheep Splitboard, G3 High Traction Splitboard Skins, and a G3 Spadetech Shovel.

Weekly Prizes Include: G3 Trucker Hats, G3 Neck Buffs, G3 T-Shirts, Utility Straps, and more.
