CBS SPORTS NETWORK DEBUTS 2011 ALT GAMES COLLEGIATE SLOPESTYLE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Snowboard and Freeskiing Shows Air Sunday, May 1 at 5:30 PM, ET

From the Alt Games — CBS Sports Network debuts the 2011 Alt Games Snowboarding and Freeskiing shows on Sunday, May 1 (5:30-7:30 PM, ET). The one-hour shows highlight the action from the 2011 Alt Games College Freeskiing and Snowboarding Championships, which were held at Catalyst Terrain Park at Copper Mountain, Colo. in conjunction with the Sunsation music festival. The Alt Games: College Action Sports Championships is an annual showcase of top college action sports championship events that is now in its sixth year.

The event showcases top college men’s and women’s snowboarding and skiing athletes. The freeskiing show airs from 5:30-6:30 PM, with the snowboarding show following from 6:30-7:30 PM. This year’s Championships featured athletes from approximately 30 schools, including University of Colorado-Boulder, University of Colorado-Denver, Colorado Mountain College, New Mexico and BYU among others.

Hundreds of competitors from colleges and universities nationwide will compete at the 2011 Alt Games, which will crown 20 national champions in both individual and team events across eight sports that include: Snowboarding, Freeskiing, Skateboarding, Surfing, Wakeboarding, Flowboarding, Beach Volleyball and Ultimate.
