Aspen/Snowmass, CO, August 16, 2010 – Aspen/Snowmass announces season pass structure and pricing for the 2010-2011 season. Prices were held flat for the two most popular passes, the Premier Pass and the Flex Pass, when purchased before September 24, 2010. In addition, the Premier Pass is loaded with more benefits than ever, including friends and family discount vouchers and discounts on ski school, on-mountain dining, rentals and parking. This season, which begins on November 25, is one of the longest ever at Aspen/Snowmass, with closing day scheduled for April 24, 2011 that’s 22 weeks of skiing and riding.

New this season, the Double Flex Pass allows skiing and riding two days per week, plus the option to add days at a discounted rate with no blackout dates. This pass is priced at just $1,199 in the Super Early Season, or just $949 for the chamber pass. That’s less than $28 a day to ski/ride the four mountains of Aspen/Snowmass (less than $22 for chamber passholders).

With pricing flat to last year, the Premier Pass, the most popular Aspen/Snowmass pass type, is once again priced lower than it has been since the 2004-2005 season. The Escape Pass allows passholders to optimize their experience and spread out payments with this pay-as-you-go option and Flex Passes allow users to add days effortlessly.

We are happy we were able to hold the price flat on our most popular passes, said David Perry, senior vice president, Aspen Skiing Company. Last season we heard from many locals that re-introducing a version of the beloved 2-Day pass would best fit their schedules, so the new Double Flex will hopefully fill that gap.

The Premier Pass, which allows unlimited skiing/riding on all four mountains with no blackout dates costs just $1,499 in the Super Early Season, flat to last season and a savings of $270 from two seasons ago. The Premier Chamber Pass, for area businesses is just $1,099 in the Super Early Season. The Premier Pass is also available at senior (65-69), youth (13-17), child (7-12) and Silver (70+) rates. As always, children six and under ski for free.

The Flex Pass costs $819 in the Super Early Season (or $699 for the Chamber Flex) and offers one day of skiing/riding each week of the winter season (22 weeks) on all four mountains plus the flexibility to add days any time for $49 per day with direct-to-lift access. Flex Passholders also receive discounts on summer lifts. Weeks begin on Monday and end on Sunday and unused days may not be carried over. Flex Chamber and Flex Senior passes are also available.

The Escape Pass is just $319 up front when purchased by December 17, 2010, and offers direct-to-lift pay-as-you-go access to all four Aspen/Snowmass mountains for $49 per day and discounts on summer lift access. Escape Passes and rates are also available for senior, youth, college, child and Silver.
