Lake Tahoe, CA – Alpine Meadows Ski Resort will host the ultimate Independence Day celebration, offering skiing, snowboarding, and non-stop slopeside parties and live music Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4. With record snowfall during winter 2010/2011, July’s snow supply is both abundant and guaranteed. This is truly the summer to declare, “I skied Alpine on the 4th of July.”
“Skiing on the 4th of July holiday weekend is the ultimate way to celebrate Independence Day,” said Kent Hoopingarner, general manager of Alpine Meadows Ski Resort. “The fact that we’re able to offer such a novelty is indicative of the amount of snow the mountain received this winter, which was more than 71 feet. Most importantly, it’s a way for Alpine Meadows to celebrate and appreciate its most loyal and avid skiers and boarders. It’ll be a weekend for the record books.”
Ski, snowboard, and party from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Skiers and riders can hit the slopes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with fun après-ski festivities scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Some of Alpine’s most renowned terrain will be offered from the mountain’s summit all the way to the day lodge offering continuous, top-to-bottom terrain.
