Need some style in your life? It'd be hard to do better than the Quiksilver Southwoods, a two-layer shell meant for looking fresh and staying warm while riding the resort. It's built with a 100 percent Gore-Tex polyester dobby, so it's not as lightweight or breathable as the highest end shells, but provides plenty of both for, oh, about 99 percent of skiers (and is also more affordable). The stylish pockets will fit a half-eaten burrito and a can of suds just fine. A powder skirt can connect to Quik pants, while ninja thumbholes on wrist cuffs add another layer of warmth. The canvas-like outer fabric is a little odd, but from town to the lift line to short hikes and long descents, the Southwoods will have you feeling good and looking better.
