Lange RX Delivers Power and Fit

Dual-injected plastics give you strength where you need it, and comfort where you don't.

The POWDER staff is attending SIA in Denver this week—the snow sports industry’s biggest trade show, where we are getting a first look at the best gear for skiers. For more reviews and first looks at new gear, go here.

Lange debuts new Dual Core technology in the men's RX 120 and women's RX 110 boots, available in the Fall of 2017. Using a power injection method, Lange is able to inject two different plastics (one harder, one softer) into the mold at the same time, resulting in an end product that is stiffer where you need it to be, but softer where you don't. Areas of the boot that transfer power to the ski (spine, heel, lower shell) get harder durometer plastic, while areas that wrap the foot get a softer plastic, making it easier to get in and out of the boot. Designers created a plastic sandwich by layering the two types of plastic in key areas giving the boot energy and liveliness, a more consistent flex pattern, and increases power transmission. Paired with a new Dual 3D Liner—designed to match the shape of your foot as well as the interior of the boot shell—the RX brings power and fit like no Lange boot before.
