Made from 100% recycled Gore-Tex Pro

The POWDER staff is attending SIA in Denver this week—the snow sports industry’s biggest trade show, where we are getting a first look at the best gear for skiers. For more reviews and first looks at new gear, go here.

Patagonia is known for setting the bar high when it comes to doing the right thing—and they're at it again. The PowSlayer bib and jacket get an update for 17/18 to make them the brand's flagship eco-outerwear pieces. It might sound strange, but the new PowSlayer bibs and jacket are made from scraps of fabric otherwise left on the sewing room floor. Skeptical? Don't be. Designers got creative, so the Gore-Tex Pro recycled face fabric could be utilized in more efficient ways, meaning they'll use less fabric to build each piece than in previous generations. Bonus: It also makes them 25 percent lighter than previous versions.
