Due to high avalanche danger on the Mac Daddy (Mount Mackenzie) venue located in the backcountry outside the resort, the Freeride World Tour at Revelstoke has been postponed. The competition will not take place Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Event organizers are currently evaluating the situation. Stay tuned for more information.

FWT Snowbird Event Postponed
Avy control set off slide on North Baldy venue. Organizers postponed the event until further notice.
It was thought the event might not run until later in the week with 22 inches in the last 48 hours and more snow predicted to fall tomorrow. But organizers felt the weather would be good enough for safety and visibility to host it at the classic venue in front of an expected large weekend crowd.
